LINUX FUNDAMENTAL TRAINING

Linux Fundamental Training is now being held at Institut Kemahiran Belia Negara Bukit Mertajam. It started on 8th August 2009 and will end 5 September 2009. The class sessions are held on every Saturday 8.00 am to 1.00 pm. The participants are local Bukit Mertajam youth. Some of them are student of Politeknik Seberang Perai, staff from MNC company and staff of government organisation.

The program is offered by IKBN Bukit Mertajam for the youth under 40 year-old. E-Office has done a great job in finding suitable participants and train them. Thanks to the experienced trainer, Encik Syahanaz (USM) and En Zamri our trainer, now become facilitator for the programme. The participants are taught on how to install Linux software, configure and troubleshoot the Open Source Operating System.

During registration, most of the participants do not know what is Linux. Linux is an alternative operating system, unlike Windows xp, it is free. It comes with the popular internet browser: Mozilla and open source office application too.
